Click the Conversations tab to access all uText messages in your account. Conversations are listed by date, with the most recent first. The following information is included for each conversation:

  • Senderthe name or number of the sender.
  • Channelthe channel to which the conversation applies.
  • Messagethe text of the message.
  • Number of Messagesthe number of messages in the thread. Click this number to display all messages in the thread.
  • Datethe date of the most recent message in the thread.
  • Operator—the operator who has responded to the messages.


You can search for a conversation, claim a conversation, archive a conversation, block a conversation, edit a customer, add notes to a conversation, and change conversation settings. For more information on these actions, see the steps below.


Search for a Conversation


You can search for a conversation by setting the filters at the top of the page. You can select the filter by product and/or claims.



Claim a Conversation


To become the managing operator of a conversation, you must claim the conversation. Follow these steps:


1. Check the box to the left of the conversation and select the title to open the conversation.


2. Select Claim from the menu at the upper-left corner of the screen, or click the Claim button at the right of the screen.



3. At the "Are you sure?" prompt, click Accept.



Archive a Conversation

 

To archive a conversation, follow these steps:


1. Check the box to the left of the conversation and select the title to open the conversation.

 

2. Select Archive from the menu at the upper-left corner of the screen, or click the Archive button at the right of the screen.



3. At the "Are you sure?" prompt, click Accept.



Block a Conversation

 

To block a conversation, follow these steps:

 

1. Check the box to the left of the conversation and select the title to open the conversation.

 

2. Select Block from the menu at the upper-left corner of the screen.


 

3. At the "Are you sure?" prompt, click Accept.



Adding a Contact


1. With a conversation open, click the Add Contact button at the right of the screen.


2. Edit any of the fields that you wish.



3. Click Save.



Adding Notes to a Conversation


1. Click the Add/View Notes button at the right of the screen.


The Notes dialog box will appear.


2. Enter any notes that you wish.


3. Click Add Note.


4. Click Close when you are finished.



Changing Conversation Settings


1. Click the Assign button at the right of the screen.


The Conversations Settings dialog box will appear.



2. From the Channel drop-down menu, select the channel that you wish to assign to the conversation.


3. From the Assign Operator drop-down menu, select the operator that you wish to assign to the conversation.


4. Click Save.
