uInvoice allows you to email, print, and export work orders for your customers, giving your customers a professional document each time.

 

Emailing a Work Order

 

To email a work order, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Jobs tab, select Work Orders.

 

A list of work orders will display. To email a work order, click the Actions menu in the far-right column to access the following actions: Edit, Start, Complete, Archive, Email, Print, and Export.

 



2. Click Email.

 

3. In the To field, enter the email address(es) for those receiving the work order.


Note: The email address in the To field automatically populates with the email address entered for the customer's primary contact. The To field can be edited. To enter multiple email addresses, separate email addresses with a semicolon (;).


4. In the CC field, enter the email address(es) for those you would like copied in the email, if desired.


Note: The email address in the CC field automatically populates with the email address of the user logged into the uInvoice account, if applicable. The CC field can be edited. To enter multiple email addresses, separate email addresses with a semicolon (;).

 

5. In the Subject field, enter the subject of the email. 

 

Note: The Subject field automatically populates with the Job Type (Estimate, Work Order, or Invoice), the Work Order Number, and the Customer name. The Subject field can be edited.

 

6. In the Body field, enter a message for your customer, if desired. The Body field can be edited.

 

7. To view a preview of your work order, click Expand.

 


 

8. Click Send Email

 

A PDF copy of your work order is sent to your customer.

 

Printing a Work Order

 

To print a work order, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Jobs tab, select Work Orders.

 

A list of work orders will display. To email a work order, click the Actions menu in the far-right column to access the following actions: EditStartCompleteArchive, Email, Print, and Export.

 


2. Click Print.

 

A preview of the work order displays.


3. Click Print.


The Print dialog box appears, allowing you to send the work order to the printer of your choice.


Exporting a Work Order

 

To export a work order, follow these steps:

 

1. From the Jobs tab, select Work Orders.

 

A list of work orders will display. To email a work order, click the Actions menu in the far-right column to access the following actions: EditStartCompleteArchive, Email, Print, and Export.

 


2. Click Export.

 

A preview of the work order displays.

 

3. Click Export as PDF.

 

The Export dialog box appears, allowing you to save a PDF copy of the work order to your desired folder location.
